Kitchen Garden Tour | Potager Garden 2023

This is our first year growing inside our new kitchen garden and I am so excited to show it to you. If you want more information on the build of our potager you can check that our here.

2023 Year One

This year we built eight – 4×8 cedar raised beds and have started planting in them. Let’s take a little walk into the garden so I can show you what’s planted in the kitchen garden this year.

Bed One

Inside bed one we have 9 tomato plants surrounded by marigolds. Behind the tomatoes in a row of celery, row of onions and then some statis

Bed Two

Wow! Bed two has really changed in the last week or two! This is my cut flower bed. Here’s what’s in it

2 rows of celosia
1 row of gomphrena
4 rows of ageratum
1 row of apricot statis
2 calendula plants
4 strawflowers

Bed Three

Another bed that looks completely different from just a few weeks ago. This bed is full of Yukon Gold potatoes

Bed Four

Bed Five

Pickling cucumbers, hot peppers, bell peppers, zinnia, summer squash and spaghetti squash

Our garden help: Indian Runner Ducks. They like to garden right beside me and I feed them snails and slug whenever I find them.

Bed Six

Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower, English Cucumbers, Red Cabbage, White Cabbage and Butternut Squash

Bed Seven

More tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, zucchini and pie pumpkins

Bed Eight

Potomac Snagdragons, Runner Beans, Acorn Squash
